Do they make metric sized reamers?
I guess this question goes out to the machinst/millwrights out there (Derek). Do they make metric reamers? I have this pulley that needs to be bored out to a 17 mm shaft. I'm putting a 3rd gen rx7 alternator on the rx7 but need to use my 2nd gen rx7 pulley. I measure 17 mm with the vernier calipers or 0.6685 inches which isn't really a fraction of anything, well it's 1337/2000.
So should I just use a boring bar to enlarge the hole instead of a drill bit and a reamer?

Yes, you can get metric reamers, you can also get adjustable reamers.

Cheers
You can buy reamers from the suppliers in .0300 - 1 in .0005 increments. A cheapie metric chucking reamer will be about $30. Reaming is done quickly and accurate at the cost of a tool. Boring is time consuming to be accurate and is much easier to make a fatal error but you probably have access to a lathe and boring bar so you wont need to buy tooling. pros - cons both ways. You do the math buddy
