Question Paint/body shop recommendations?

Well, I think this summer the Talon is going to need some fresh paint and some new sheet metal in spots.

I'm trying to decide how far to go in terms of stripping it down, etc. I'm tempted to take it all apart, seam weld and cage it. Does anybody have experience with this?

If I decide to cage it, I would dismantle everything and bring the bare car to the shop in order to save some labour $$$$.

Any recommendations on a quality shop that could do this in 4-5weeks?

Thanks...

Discovery Auto Collision. They were a Solo 1 sponsor in '04 and have taken really good care of a lot of us. Raj is the guy to talk to there. 905-362-0520. 1767 Drew Rd, Mississauga (near Dixie/Derry intersection).

Both of the companies mentioned above are great. I have used (or know people who have used) both of them.

As always - giving first crack to our racing sponsors (both of these) is a good start.

You could try Precision Auto Refinishing if you're in the Uxbridge Area. Brian & the guys did a fantastic job on all our Sentras, including one of Nicks Spec V's & Christian's BMW when we had them done in team colours. They're quick, inexpensive and can also do a single stage paint job most people envy.
They're at 7 Douglas Rd in Uxbridge.

That's great. Thanks for the suggestions. It'll be nice not to see any rust on the car! Now I have to decide what colour(s) to go for...

if you're closer to shannonville, I suggest Denny's Autobody... They've done all the bodywork on our corvette c5 since we've had it, and they've done a great job. However, I sense you're likely in the GTA, and therefore this isn't much of an option for you... :P haha.

Talon

If you are considering spending money on your Talon, I have a 2nd Gen Talon that has never been on the street. It is a roller and has a full cage [molly].

Built by Archers for World Challenge. This car would make a nice race car, and probably be cheaper than doing yours. You could use your motor, trans, etc.

I also have full fiberglass body available for it.

Let me know
