volvo 244 dl

a friend is selling a fairly clean 83/84 (i think) volvo 244 dl. it is a nice, clean looking 240 with a sunroof (rare for a dl) the car needs very little to certify & does not need drive clean because of it's age. this would be a great cheap 2nd car or something to put a teenager in. he will take offers around $700, but i bet you could pick it up cheaper, he needs the space.

you know, it could be a good ice racer. my only concern would be carb icing. i recall my old 79 dl didn't like -35 days!

I had a look at the car last night. I unfortunately do not have the space or I'd grab it.

Good solid iceracer.

couple of weekends of prep (gutting interior and taking off lights and stuff) and it's good to go.

The thing started right up and it purrrrssss.

Get it before it's gone...

They Ice Raced 20, 30, 40 years ago and that WAS NOT a problem.

Run the intake hose through the firewall and turn you heater on full, so much for normally aspirated!
