2005 Team Challenge Heats up!

Hello Everyone,

The 2005 CASC-OR autoslalom Team challenge championship got off to a roaring start in Picton. Wow, is it ever a close battle for top spot! So far we have 6 teams registered for the championship.

After the First event with 392.41 points Team Little Texas takes the lead. Team Captain Brian S. should be very proud of David S. Andrew C and Jay W. for the great team effort in bringing about this event win.

In a close second place is team NVMYAWD (don't ask me what that stands for) with 385.679 points, this team is the highest placing team of those teams with only AWD competitors as team mates. Captain Mike A must have kept Daniel F., Peter W. and Ivano D. pushing hard to keep up with Team Little Texas. It isn’t over yet and with a strong showing like this you know event 2 is going to heat up.

In the closest point spread we've seen so far Team Miataphiles almost clobbered Team NVMYAWD they scored 385.186 points to come close to second place but get squeezed out by the thinnest of margins by Team NVMYAWD. Team Captain Ryan M should be proud of Robert T. who managed to take the overall win for event 1. Also Ryan has reason to be pleased of Paul who managed to score more points then class rival from Team Little Texas Jay W. Rob H also had an impressive showing.

Fourth place is Team Torag SPDA III, scoring 379.618 points Tony K is the captain of this team and Members Joe T., Peter L. and Rhys H all have a bit of work cut out for them if they want to decimate the field with their AWD Subaru’s.

My own team solidly owns fifth place. Team HADA CG-Lock was lost today. With the Absence of Captain Shane G. members Tod F. Jason D. and Wes T. didn't know what to do to score better. Try as they might they were severely handicapped. Shane where are you, we need you! HADA CG-Lock sits with 287.185 points.

Sixth place another team with a missing driver was team Bad Drivers. Rumor has it Captain Opal G. was storming in the dug out trying to figure out how to save this event for the team. Team members are Helen W, Maxine P, and Christine L. The press is all a buzz of trades happening for this team and a possible substitution happening before the registration deadline. After a score of 269.613 all I say they need to add is a little "foot to the floor” action out on course.

hey you where is your registration form and cash...? I'll check again when I get home but it's not with all the others. I took in 400 at the Open house thats 4 teams (wes can confirm this) and at event 1 I took in 200 more so thats 2 more Teams. I have 6 registration forms for the teams so that all balances out.

I talked to Brian at Picton... he's supercharging it and coming up to CSP with the big-boi's!

So obviously we didn't register the team for the Picton event and next Regional is the Deadline...will that mean that the Picton event does not count???
