looking for Lapping/Testing at Mosport

Does anyone know of any lapping days at the Mosport Grand prix track?

We are looking for a day preferably in early July but are open to Aug too.

There is also the FCA school at MIR on July 6. I understand they now have a dedicated run group for non-ferrari cars. If interested, contact Dennis Sakamoto at: dsakamoto@rogers.com.

Solo 1 is running a school/lapping day on Aug.6'05 and a Solo 1 event on Aug.7'05, all for $395. On Saturday you could lap with a fast group while on Sunday you could run a Solo 1 (three or four sessions of 3 hot laps each) while continuing your testing.

What's the format of the Mosport Test Day? 9-5, rules?

Ahhh...I thought the regional test days were organized by Mosport.?.? At least on the application it says cheques payable to Panoz and you are supposed to call the track for details. Am I mistaken?

This is not a regional test day. It is a Solo 1 School/lapping on Saturday and Solo 1 event on Sunday.

Regional Test Days at Mosport are organized by Panoz. The format is alternating 35 minute sessions for open- and closed-wheel cars with a lunch break (about one hour), starting at 9:00 a.m.. You will need full driver and car safety stuff, but they MAY let you run with a Basic CASC licence if they're satisfied with your experience (they let me run with a Basic in 2002 when I was only running Solo I). If you run all sessions, you will get about 2 3/4 hours track time, and they offer discounts for early registration. For info go to the Mosport site and phone or e-mail Myles Brant (track manager).

yes, but you'll have some good track time on saturday, and a few short sessions on sunday where you can try a bunch of settings. Sure, it's solo1, but it's also track-time that you can use to test with.
