Something just occured to me. Since ASS has a slower pax than A1, why doesn't ASS proposition A1? And better yet: Does the software allow A1 to proposition ASS even though it's a slower class.

I'm not saying ASS should be able to proposition A1... ...oh wait, yes that is what I'm saying.

The basic rule of propositioning is that a "slower" class can proposition a "faster" class in the same root family if that class (the slower one) through addition of prep points can run in that (faster) class.

Since A/1 cars do not move into A/SS with prep points A/1 can never proposition A/SS. The reverse becomes true, A/SS doesn't preoposition A/1, since propositioning doesn't work in reverse.

Another twist on the state of the Solo II rules in Ontario.

So since I am in class B1 I can proposition the next class witch is BSS, this is only done if I am faster then there times? I have a question , if the leading car in the next higher class is on street tires and I beat the car by less then a second who is faster or do I still proposition that class?

Ryan, in this case take the BSS winner's time and multiple it by .98 and that would be the time after the street tire bonus.

Compare the street tire bonus time of BSS to the fastest time in B1 (on Comp tires) and if B1 is faster, they proposition BSS.

For example, B1 propositioned BSS in both event 1 and event 2, but with the street tire bonis, B1 did not prtoposition BSS in event 3.
