Terry had a good idea: In class 1, 4 races the checker should not drop (race finish) 'till the first class 1 car crosses that way RWD cars all will get their 12 laps and some AWD cars will get an extra lap.

why dont you guys just slow down like me so you know when your done cause your like 3-4 laps down...lol, JK. I am sure being as slow as I am, I get in the way of everyone else especially the 4WD guys. Of course Terry and Larry as well, sometimes as a backmarker when I see like 4-5 cars coming up on me fast its hard to decide what to do. I want to try and keep racing as best as my abilities will let me, but I want to try and get out of there way so I slow no one down.

In fairness.... the Street-Stud Chevette, Volvo and Tom in the 240sx... have all been easier to deal with in the last 2 races... (might be taking longer to catch them too!)

We are all learning these street studs and they are all SQUEEZING onto the throttle better / more gradually...as opposed to the first 2 races where they were getting on to it a little harder I think and gettin' it really out of shape / sideways... then comes the pendulum... VERY hard to get by...

I think Tom took some ballast out... because he was the PENDULUM MASTA!




I've noticed a few drivers out there who either just lift a sec early... or hold their wider line before dive-bombing down inside... when the AWD cars are flying up from behind... when they'r enot really in a death-battle....

MUCH appreciated... I try to wave to say thanks...

Understood... but if you're alongside them... thay can not cut you off... or they have to TRY to not pendulum into you. I get it.

I haven't seen "blocking"... (as the AWD cars are that much faster than the rest...) just some chopping... or pendulum'ing...

It's better than the first 2 weekends... I chalk it up to gettin' used to the SS tires. Clean racing... is good racing.

I have been bumped into the snow bank before by cars that couldn't overtake me when the leaders made it past clean. I stayed on the line and instead of trying to get by clean, I got rammed into a snow bank...idiot driving tactics.

Wait up a sec, hold on. I'm sorry, I haven't read all of this thread yet, but before we go on, I should explain that I've seen race situations where the last lap sign had been shown twice, so I was hedging my bets as, I must admit, I didn't know what the gap was to second place. As a result, I raced to the checker, braking at what I thought was the line, and on the inside. I wouldn't have been surprised if it had surprised Herbie as well. Herbie, you crabbed a bit to the inside as you were turning in, though, and that's where the contact was. Like Tony told me, drive on the studracers' line, and you'll find the grip.

But anyways, my mistake, I'll keep a better eye on the gap to second place.

But here's one interesting scenario made by Tony McG - what if Terry in RWD, who is still racing and on the 12th lap, messed up (stuffed in bank) in his last lap and I, running in second place RWD, would then be able to pass him for win if I were not lapped at the checker flag by Tony in AWD?
