Re: Car Classification Web Site

I havn't been into this site in a while. The day that I decide to go in and toy with the CCDB, the website doesn't work and I find out that it's being moved.

Any idea as to when it might be up and running again? No rush unless we can classify snowmobiles now.... it's January!

Cheers,
Todd

Re: Car Classification Web Site

The servers are in the back of my truck ... might be a few days before I bring them back into the house, then I still have to move the site over to afirma. Stay tuned, and sorry for the delay all!

Just curious, as I'm sure others are, when the servers are going to be back online? We still have time, obviously, but now that winter is over, and with "only" ~6-8 weeks left 'til the season begins, I'm sure that people are diving into their cars getting them ready ... and the CCDB is a VERY helpful tool when it comes to making informed decisions on what to do or not to do .

Thx .

Re: Car Classification Web Site

Hey all. The suns a shine'n, the weathers gettin nice, probably nice enough now to get the servers out of the truck and take em in without gettin snowed on
Or could be the bugs with the transfer to Afirma thats causing a headache ( If so I prescribe perkaset )

With a new car (to me) for this year that was previously modded, I need to make sure that what I worked out on paper works in the CCDB. So please, please get er back up. If its cause there still in the back of the truck, I got a long extension cord you can use to plug em in with

Re: Car Classification Web Site

Arek gave us good notice about finding a replacement, but no one from the community has stepped up. So, if you have VS 2008, ASP skills, and are willing to work for our sincere thanks, please step forward.

Else I think we're heading back to the spreadsheet days.

Re: Car Classification Web Site

I've asked Arek to put the CCDB back online with most of the 2009 rules entered. The only thing remaining is the dyno plot changes where you have to take a minimum amount of ePIPs regardless what your dyno says. That wasn't within the CMS ability to adjust, and will require revised programming.

The Dyno Dynamics eddy current dyno has been added to the list of dynos. If you have used the DD, you can no longer select the Mustang.

Changed:

5.0.B.1
Non-turbocharged vehicles: Modification to the exhaust manifold(s), heat exchanger(s) or exhaust header(s) and including any other intermediate pipe between the cylinder head and the catalytic converter (e.g. X- or H-pipes).

5.0.B.2
Factory original turbocharged vehicles: Modification to exhaust manifold system, defined as exhaust manifold(s); heat ex 1.0 PIPSchanger(s); and exhaust header(s); includes exhaust uppipes(s).

5.0.B.3
Modification to pipes between the exhaust manifold(s) and the catalytic converter(s) (e.g turbo uppipe(s), X-pipes, H-pipes). Do not claim if 5.0B.1 or 5.0B.2 is claimed. 1.0 PIPs

5.0.B.5
Factory original turbocharged vehicles: Modification to downpipe. 1.0 PIPs

5.0.C.1
Naturally aspirated vehicles: Modification to the computerized component(s) of the ignition or engine management system (e.g. chipping the ECU or reprogramming it from OE by other means for any reason). Also includes modifications under 5.0 C.3. 2.0 PIPs

5.0.C.2
Factory original turbocharged and supercharged vehicles: Modification to the computerized component(s) of the ignition or engine management system (e.g. chipping the ECU or reprogramming it by other means for any reason). Also includes modifications under 5.0 C.3. 3.0 PIPs

5.0.D.1
Modification to intercooler or water injection system; any or all. 1.0 PIPs

5.0.D.2
Addition of an intercooling system or water injection system. 3.0 PIPs

.5.0.D.4 Modification that affects the boost pressure control system, any or all.
Note: This also applies to vehicles where the boost is controlled by the ECU even if PIPs have been taken for reprogramming or chipping the ECU. On supercharged vehicles this includes modification to drive pulleys. 3 PIPs

5.0.D.5 Port and polish and/or thermal coating of a turbocharger or supercharger. 1.0 PIPs

5.0.D.6 Factory supercharged vehicles: Modification to the rotating elements of an OE supercharger, excluding the pulley system. 2 PIPs

5.0.D.7 The addition of a turbocharger system to a vehicle that did not come factory equipped with one; includes all modifications permitted under Sections 5.0A.1, 5.0B.2, 5.0B.3, 5.0C.2, 5.0D.4. 13 PIP
Note: Additional PIPs are assessed for modifications under Sections 5.0A.2, 5.0D.1 and 5.0D.2.

5.0.D.8
The addition of a supercharger system to a vehicle that did not come factory equipped with one; includes all modifications permitted under Sections 5.0A.1 (Roots type superchargers only), 5.0C.2, 5.0D.4. 9 PIPs
Note: Additional PIPs are assessed for modifications under Sections 5.0A.2, 5.0B.1, 5.0D.1and 5.0D.2.

.11 Change of OE turbochargers such that the compressor inducer diameter and/or turbine exducer
diameter is not larger than 122% of OE, excludes exhaust manifold under 5.0B.2 5.0 PIP

Re: Car Classification Web Site

I didn't realize the spot had not been filled, I thought someone had stepped up last summer.

I'm a little rusty but I used to design/build web sites and databases. I cant guaranty my presence at all of the events, (car reliability and budget) but I am hoping to make it to all 8+ events this year. It might take me a bit to get up to speed and learn the code, but I'd be happy to take over the responsibility. I'm assuming our good friends at Afirma are still going to host it?

Bram.

The CCDB is back up. Please report any issues since there have been some changes.

Re: Car Classification Web Site

Thanks for getting the CCDB up and running again, Arek. And thank you, Bram, for volunteering to take over the system .

I was able to go in and make the changes I needed to without any issues, so the system appears to be working normal. However, maybe the turbo guys will have more "issues" than I did?

Also, I'm pretty sure the "Download PDF" function is new? That's handy!

Thanks again!

Pete

Re: Car Classification Web Site

If there is any interested people in porting this to PHP + MySQL from Windows, i'd be game to get involved. I don't want to take the entire project on solo, so please post if there is interest.
