Each racing season Pabst Motorsports, Pfaff Motors & Doncaster Racing Inc., supports the Children's Wish Charity Event at Mosport Park, Ontario. This year is no different and we hope you can once again assist in this memorable day.

In association with the Children's Wish Foundation, Pfaff Auto Group Inc., and Mosport Park, Pabst Motorsport will be hosting a fun filled day giving seriously ill children the opportunity to meet drivers and ride in real racing cars around a world famous track. Each year the Canadian motorsport community rallies together to provide a unique experience for this special group of kids. Participants at all levels of Canadian racing bring their equipment and dedicate their time and money in organizing this wonderful adventure.

The event date is Sunday, October 22nd, 2006.

The day begins with a short orientation and overview of important track safety information. After this brief introduction the children are free to choose their favorite drivers and cars and enjoy a breath-taking ride around the historic Mosport track. The car’s pace is dictated by the passenger’s comfort level.

This event represents a day where children forget their illness and pain and families can focus on having fun through a truly unique experience. After the morning sessions, a complimentary lunch is provided for families and volunteers. Fund raising begins in the afternoon when the public can purchase 2 laps around the circuit for a $25 contribution to the Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada.

The day is made possible by the generous support and funding from our sponsors and generally takes place in three forms:

• Mandatory Entry Fee: There will be a mandatory $125 entry fee for each car participating

in the event this year. A tax receipt will be issued for the entry fee and proceeds will be used to fund wishes.

• Logistics and support (track time, facilities, food, cars, teams, celebrities)

• Gifts for the children (a loot bag is supplied to each Wish participant)

The Children’s Wish Foundation

The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada is a federally chartered, non-profit organization dedicated to fulfilling a favorite wish for children afflicted with a high risk, life-threatening illness.

The Foundation has been responsible for bringing a special moment of joy into the lives of many children since its inception in 1984. Each wish is an individual adventure, carefully structured to meet the needs of that particular child.

Children are eligible from 3 years of age and over but under the age of 18 years before the time the request is received. They must be legal residents of Canada and have an illness, which is categorized as a high risk, life-threatening condition.

This year marks a very special milestone as we enter 20 years of granting wishes. More than 2,000 wishes have been granted in Ontario, and we have just approved our 10,000th wish across Canada. Over this two decade period, volunteers and staff have worked tirelessly to ensure children coping with high-risk; life threatening illnesses receive their most heartfelt wish.

The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada does not solicit children, all cases must be referred. The Foundation operates offices in every province and referrals are made through our provincial offices. The referral may come from doctors, nurses, social workers, family, friends, the general community, or even wish children themselves.
