MTO Street Racing Survey

Received this via GT Sprints competitor Alan Jones, who's on Mississauga's Safe Driving committee.

The short, anonymous survey is open to all Ontario motorists, and is designed to help MTO better understand the street racing problem in Ontario.

LOL.. that's awesome. I'm going to start using my brother's name! I hope mine doesn't mean "slow down, go slowly, hit cones.."

Re: MTO Street Racing Survey

that survey is garbage

"have you raced"

i accelerated to the best of my cars ability to the posted speed limit.

there happend to be someone beside me doing the same thing

is that considered racing?? what if i didnt even look at the other car.

Re: MTO Street Racing Survey

I got to post a nice, theraputic rant about what I think the actual problem is, but I suspect this is like talking to a brick wall.

Re: MTO Street Racing Survey

if Alan Jones had anything to do with the survey, I am disappointed that he of all people wouldn't include a few questions regarding legal motorsports involvement, to hopefully show that those involved in legal motorsports are less likely to be involved in illegal street racing as well.

Re: MTO Street Racing Survey

I particularly liked this question:

*6) In the past year have you taken part in a pre-planned/organized race on a public road?

Does marshalling at the Toronto Indy/Grand Prix of Toronto count?

I'd think since it's closed to the public during the competition, it is not considered a "public road" at that moment in time.
