Ice Racing News
Along with a half a pick-up load of donated food items, the ice racers and the Minden Kin Club gave back to the Minden community with monetary donations totaling $965.00.
Way to go guys! an awesome gesture indeed.
Thanks to the Minden Kinsmen who managed to flood two night this past week, Round four of the Magnum Ice Race championship, hosted by the Toronto Autosports club, is a go.
Please not that the special event planned for the following holiday monday has been cancelled ...
But All competitors and spectators alike are encouraged to bring up non perishable food items to be donated to the Minden Food Bank. All donations either monitary or or food items will be accepted outside the registaration trailer.
The first annual Charity race scheduled for February 20th has been canceled due to lack of interest, and prohibitive costs to the organising club. This was to be a rubber to ice event only and with the increasing popularity of the street stud classes there are only a limited amount of RTI drivers in the field.

This years Ice Race Awards Banquet will be held at the Sheraton Parkway, Hwy 7 and Hwy 404. In the GTA.
Saturday April 14th 2012.
Ticket prices will be $40 per person.
I am not sure of the Room name yet, or the menu choices, but I will update as the information becomes available.
I firmly believe that a five dollar increase in price, would far outweigh the inconveniences of travel, and our experience that we had last season. By moving it to the GTA area I am hoping that it may be better attended. Read more »
