Round 2 in the RaceOntario championship

Calabogie MotorSports Park ( in partnership with the Motorsport Club of Ottawa ( are pleased to announce the addition of the inaugural “Calabogie’s May Madness” event to the 2015 CASC-OR Regional Race Schedule that will take place May 29-31, 2015. That’s two CASC-OR Regional Race Weekends at Calabogie MotorSports Park in 2015!

Calabogie MotorSports Park is a world class, 5.05 km long race track facility with the challenges of elevation, camber changes and 20 challenging turns!! It has quickly built a great reputation as the ‘Go-To’ place for racing cars and motorcycles!

The Motorsport Club of Ottawa was incorporated in 1949 and was one of the founding member clubs of the Canadian Auto Sports Clubs (CASC) back in 1951.

The schedule for this event starts off with a Test Day on Friday, May 29th that has lots of track time split between open and closed wheel cars – 160 minutes for each!!

Then the CASC/OR Regional Race Groups including VARAC Sportsman; Radical/F2000; Formula Libre; GT Sprints; plus the Invitational Formula Libre Club take to the track first thing Saturday morning to kick off a full race weekend that has lots and lots of track time!

The GT Challenge Race Group also start off on Saturday with separate Practice and Qualifying sessions of 20 minutes each followed by a 60 minute race. They can do a ‘Double Entry’ for more of the same on Sunday starting off with a 15 minute Warm-Up followed by another 60 minute Race!

There truly is ‘something for everyone’! Whether coming to watch and cheer on your favourite racer from one of the new Grandstands that are a part of the available Platinum Package; working in the Paddock in this World Class race facility; enjoying some of the great scenery at the track or eating at one of the great restaurants in the nearby village of Calabogie - when you eventually start heading back home on Sunday night, you will already be thinking of your next visit to participate in some more of the exciting racing and activity just like what you just enjoyed. And you won’t have to wait long…..MCO Ted Powell Race Weekend is August 21st-23rd!

There is an exciting Entry Fee Rebate Program that gets better as the car count increases. The Race Operations Team is extremely well experienced in running race events and both the Club and the Track understand all about making sure that everyone feels welcome and is treated well. We want this to be one of your ‘Destination Events’ and we will work hard to earn that!
