Formula 1200
Based on VW components, Formula 1200 is the least expensive form of single seater racing car competing in CASC-OR RaceOntario Championships.
The Formula 1200 Drivers Association (FTDA) Championship is a single marque open-wheel single-seat racing series. The strict rule set that provides a reliable mechanical platform and virtually identical performance characteristics from car to car promotes driver development. Typically home to some of the region’s youngest competitors this series also attracts veterans who enhance the driver development experience. Racing is so tight that the cars often form a ‘train’ and it is not uncommon for the top 3 or 4 cars to finish within the same second! The championship participates in six of the eight regional championship race weekends.
