John Bordin, Treasurer of BARC-OC is planning to step down from his position. As a result, we need someone to take over this BARC-OC Board role after the next AGM (which will be held early in 2027). It would be preferable that the person replacing John have the following skills and core competencies:
- Core Financial & Accounting Competencies
- Governance & Oversight Skills
- Strategic & Operational Capabilities
- Soft Skills & Personal Qualities
Recommended Experience Profile for the BARC‑OC Treasurer
- 2+ years serving on a nonprofit board (or equivalent governance experience).
- Professional accounting designation (CPA or equivalent) preferred, but not essential.
- Experience with budgets, audits, and financial reporting in a nonprofit or small‑organization context.
John is willing to steward the incumbent for a period of time to help with the transition.
