We are very sad to pass on the news Gunter Schmidt passed away last night, August 16, 2022, after a tough fight with illness over the last year.
Gunter had a long career as a competitor and official in Canadian motorsport spanning more than 40 years, and is the Past President of CASC Ontario Region.
He is survived by his wife, Laura, herself well known to all of us in the sport.
Respecting Gunter's wishes, no memorial service is planned.
All who knew him are richer for the experience and we extend our sincere condolences to Laura.
