First, happy Thanksgiving. This being a long weekend, I hope you will take the time to read this e-mail. There are currently 5 active board members for CASC-OR, and as fate would have it, 3 of us are experiencing health related problems as I write this. It is causing some interesting challenges...

Saturday, Oct 25 - a day of meetings

In two weeks we will be holding all of our annual division workshops, the Annual Members Meeting for our clubs, as well as the 2025 Awards Dinner for Time Attack and Race Divisions.

All of the meetings will be held in-person, with a video link available for those that cannot attend. We have not had the best of luck with our video meetings in the past, so I encourage you to make the trip if you are able....

Ice Racing

The Ice Racing Workshop starts at 9 am and consists of:

·a review of the highly successful 2025 series

·announcement of the 2026 series dates and fee structure

·appointment of a new Ice Racing Director

·topics from the floor

The position of Ice Racing Director has been vacant for 3 years now. Planning for the 2026 series is well underway. I have spoken to a number of people that have expressed interest in the position of Ice Racing Director - If you are interested in this position now is the time to make it official. Even if you and I have already discussed the position, please contact me directly at president@casc.on.ca with your "application" (e-mail of interest).

 

Ontario Time Attack

OTA also had a very successful series, thanks in no small part to the efforts of their new Director, Giuliano Traetto and the dedicated team of officials and volunteers that made it all happen.

The OTA Workshop starts at 11 am and consists of:

·a review of the highly successful 2025 series

·announcement of the 2026 series dates and fee structure

·rules review and update

·topics from the floor

Road Racing

2025 saw increased entries across the board in Road Racing. Thanks to Pat Cyr, the CASC-OR Race Director, all of our Department Heads, plus the literally hundreds of volunteers that so generously give us their time and effort to run the 6 event series.

The Road Racing Workshop starts at 11 am and consists of:

·a review of the 2025 series including results/reports for each run group and the multi-event entry we started this year

·announcement of the 2026 series dates and fee structure

·2026 rule changes, if any

·topics from the floor

Annual Members Meeting

 

The CASC-OR By-laws require us to hold an annul meeting for our member clubs to report on and approve the activities of the Board of Directors for the year.

The AMM starts at 2 pm and consists of:

·directors' reports for 2025

·approval of the 2024 financial statements

·election of new directors:

1.  Vice President - 2 year term

2.  Race Director - 2 year term, Pat Cyr is willing to stand

3.  Secretary - 2 year term

4.  IT Webmaster - 2 year term

5.  Ice Racing Director - 2 year term

Club Presidents - make sure you have completed and submitted the required FORM for your club to be eligible to vote at the meeting.

 

2025 Awards Dinner

 

Cocktails at 5:30 (cash bar), dinner starts between 6:30 and 7 pm, presentation immediately following dinner for Ontario Time Attack, F1600 and Race Division.

Dinner Registration

Competition A & B license holders are entitled to 1 complimentary (non-transferable) ticket (you get a credit when you check out of MSR)

Guest and crew cost is $95 per person HST included

Officials/persons that volunteered/worked at an event $47.50 HST included

OTA members are entitled to a discount, check your e-mail for details
