Hello everyone. This is a quick update of the various year end activities going on in CASC-OR and each of our Divisions.

CASC-OR Annual Members Meeting (AMM)
president@casc.on.ca

On September 30, 2022 the formal announcement for this year's AMM was sent to the member clubs. It was also posted on our website Oct 17.

The primary purpose of this meeting is to complete the statutorily required business of the organization - review and approve the actions of the Board, review financials, elect officers, and to facilitate communication between the clubs and the Board.

That sounds pretty dry, but it is the one time each year set aside to discuss what we've done in the past and what we plan to do in the future. Only the appointed club representatives can vote on any motions, but the meeting is "open" to any interested parties and I encourage you to attend if you are able. This year we will be meeting in person, but we also intend to set up a video link to allow for greater participation (details will be posted closer to the meeting date).

The meeting is scheduled to take place from 1 to 3 pm on Saturday, Nov 12 in the large meeting room on the second floor at the CASC-OR offices

Some of the major items to be discussed include: upgrades to the members' website (it may be offline most of December) to allow us to enhance the on-line licensing process; we will also be moving to multi-year licenses for competitors and race officials. If we can find a way to streamline the process we're going to try and use it...

Race Division Year End Meeting
racedirector@casc.on.ca

The yearend meeting for the Race Division will be held from 10 am until noon on Saturday, November 12 IN PERSON in the large meeting room on the second floor at the CASC-OR offices. We should have a video link for this meeting as well.

Topics for discussion include a review of the 2022 season including recognizing our 2022 Class Champions for the Pirelli GT Sprints and Formula Libre (Libre, F4 and F1200). The Pirelli GT Sprints sponsorship dollars will also be released.

At the meeting we will announce the 2023 Regional Racing Schedule and our 2023 Sponsors. There will also be an opportunity for discussion from the floor.

If you are a competitor, part of a team, a race official, volunteer or just an enthusiast you are welcome to attend - in fact, we encourage you to do so.

Time Attack Year End Meeting
timeattack@casc.on.ca

The 2022 OTA is being held from 4 to 8 pm on Sunday, November 20 at Dave & Busters - the evening includes a meeting, dinner and awards presentations. For complete details check out the announcement on the forums.

Autoslalom and Karting Divisions
autoslalom@casc.on.ca and karting@casc.on.ca

Both of these divisions had very active years with numerous club level events for people to participate in. No year end meetings are planned as there were no CASC-OR championship series for Autoslalom or Karting in 2022. Watch the CASC-OR website for announcements relating to the 2023 season.

Ice Racing
iceracedir@casc.on.ca

The Ice Racing Divisions is well ahead of all of the other Divisions - they had their yearend meeting and banquet last spring.

We are pleased to announce they will be holding their 2023 Planning Meeting from 1 to 3 pm on November 27 IN PERSON in the large boardroom on the second floor at the CASC-OR offices. The dates for the 2023 season have been set and will be posted soon.

There is always a lot going on in our member clubs - one of the best kept secrets in motorsport is just how active our community is. If you have pictures or video, stories you'd like to share we'd love to have them - they may end up on our website, Facebook, Instagram, or whatever the next BIG thing is...

If we don't see you at one of our year end meetings, on behalf of the Board allow me to thank you for being involved in our community. We wish you and yours all the best for the 2023 season.

Please feel free to forward this message as you see fit - the database contains over 2,000 names, but someone always gets missed.

See you at the track. T

Sincerely,

Ted Michalos
