At the end of the Sunday afternoon race last weekend, I spoke to all of the Miata competitors at the event about tech standards and the application of the 2026 rules.  By the end of the meeting it became clear that we need a "town hall" meeting to make sure everyone is on the same page going forward with the series.

With that in mind, I announced we'd have a Zoom call to discuss where we are at and where we are heading.  Here ar the details:

Tuesday, May 19 at 7:30 pm

I will post the AI summary after the meeting is over.

I am sending this to the competitors that have registered for the 2026 series.  Please share it with anyone else you think may be interest in attending.

We're going to focus on car prep - what modifications are we going to allow.  Which ones will put a car offside.

On a related subject, I was told by quite a few people that some of the Miata Drivers and team members were less than "cordial" with the officials in scrutineering.  These people are all volunteers and they do not write the rules, they simply enforce them.  Yelling at someone that is wokring for free is not very helpful.  Remember, we don't turn a wheel without these people - always be polite andf thank them for their time and effort, especialy when you disagree with them.  We'll talk about this more at the meeting too...

Last word - decisions are made by people that show up.  If you have an opinion about what we should be doing with the Miata Canada Cup attend the meeting and share your thoughts.  We need to know how you feel.
