Had it not been for the British Empire Motor Club and its members, who organized major motorsports events and also helped to develop racing circuits such as Edenvale, Harewood Acres and Mosport Park, it is very likely that motorsport in Canada would not be as successful as it is today.

Anne has been active in motorsport since the ‘70’s.  For a time she was the event race registrar with her club, starter, marshal and a clerk of the course.  In 2002 when Laura Schmidt decided to step down as Race Division’s Registrar, Anne decided to give it a go and has been looking after the entries since. When CASC-OR was looking for a Treasurer Anne decided that perhaps it was her turn.

Ted began racing with VARAC in 2006 in a 1961 Bugeye Sprite (which he still has). Over
the years he has added cars to his collection so that he can run with VARAC Vintage
Historic, Classic, and Formula Classic groups. He has also raced in the Toyo Tires
F1600 Championship, in the GT Sprints and he has spent 3 years ice racing. He lives in
Guelph, ON with his wife and 3 teen aged girls, and is self employed as an
accountant.

Time Attack

Greetings motorsport enthusiasts. Below is information on what's happened in and about Time Attack in CASC-OR this past month.

MAY

On May 14 and 15th OTA HPDE School and Event #1 was held at CTMP DDT, was a success without incident, fully sold out and the weather turned out to be great thankfully.

JUNE

June 5th OTA's organizing committee had a call in to prep for Event #2, everything was all lined up and ready to go.

Autoslalom

Greetings motorsport enthusiasts. Below is information on what's happened in and about Autoslalom in CASC-OR.

MAY

The contract was signed for the 2022 CASC Regional Championship weekend hosted by St.Lac/CASC, which will be in Picton Aug 13-14 early in May. Registration opened on May 29th for the event, the cost is $140 for both days and $50 per night for camping for up to 4 people per site.
